March Monthly Dinner, 3/13/13

March's Monthly Dinner will be Wednesday, 3-13-13...Yikes! Just two days before the Ides of March. That's when Roman Senators get all stabby. Hopefully, no one will be getting their Shakespeare on at the March Dinner.

As per usual, this month's gathering will be at Eat 'N Park, 200 Howe Ave. near Chapel Hill mall, by the TJ Maxx. I loves me some TJ Maxx...and Marshal's.

I am planning on being there. On another note, anyone planning on going to Joecon, and looking for someone to split costs with driving and room? I know it's last minute, but there were several factors determining: house construction, funding, and most importantly learning Larry Hama will be there.

I plan to be there for about an hour or so. I'm getting back from Tampa on Tuesday evening so I need to stop at my parents after dinner and pick up my pup.

I can't help with the ride but I did just book my room yesterday and it has a sofa bed so if you're interested PM me. I only got the room for Thur and Fri night as I plan to be on the road sometime Sat afternoon.

Thank you very much! Now if I can figure out how to get there, I'll be to there take up that offer. I am hoping to ask around at dinner to figure this, but thought to throw it out there. Rock had shared that Larry does drawings and that I would put my name down on a list, and then he would do the drawing that evening, and then to come back the next day... I guess I need to find out when he would have the drawings ready for everyone so that I may pay and pick up my request. Does anyone know if the drawings are available to be picked up before Sunday? Would I have access to make a request with Larry from the general admission $16.oo day pass for the floor? I appreciate the help.

Foxmorgan, when I got my sketch from Larry a few years back, he took a new list daily. I have no idea if he has changed his system or not. Also, if he takes daily lists you might be able to get a new sketch each day. Larry does sketches to give back to the fans, so he may want to give everyone a shot and not let people get more than one. I'm guessing Rock would know but otherwise you will have to see how Larry is running things.

Thanks nukesimek for the heads up on how it works. Yeah, as much as I would like multiple drawings... it's only fair if I get one drawing, so that others have the chance to have one too. Plus, it gives me an excuse to attend another event.

Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me with some complete 25th Anniversary or Vintage Cobra HISS tanks? I need them for a diorama that I am going to be starting soon? I need 5 Black, 2 Blue and 1 Crimson.

I am also in need of a few 25th Ann Cobra Troopers and BATS.

Also looking for a few Terrordrome pieces: Large Cannon/Gun Door Chairs (x4) and complete gas pumps (x3).

Oh! And I wouldn't mind picking up a shell for a 1983 GIJoe Headquarters...thats going to be my next rebuild project after I finish the Terrordrome.

Dinner was great. As always, I'm sorry I have to leave early from these things. We got a lot of plans nailed down for 'JoeCon and I'm excited that we got a big contingent going.
